A few words about Travliata
Travliata village is located just 8km outside Argastoli. The highlight of the area is of course the St. George’s Castle, the medieval settlement that became the capital of Kefalonia, on the Venetian rule. The castle’s walls are preserved to a large extent, as also some bridges and churches inside. The Church of the Annunciation at the Castle, which operates since 1580, is a monument that should not be missed by visitors. The closest beaches are Ag.Thomas and Trapezaki beach.
